What we aim to do

The Life Education - Auckland Central Trust is among the 38 Community Trusts that help deliver the Life Education message in our community. We're responsible for providing the Life Education Capsule (mobile classroom) and ongoing support, ensuring that ownership stays within the community.

Our education programmes are delivered using highly trained educators working in a mobile classroom environment. These hi-tech classrooms provide a unique learning environment for up to 30 children, who visit along with their teacher. The classrooms are equipped with audio-visual materials, interactive models (including a talking brain!) and Harold our singing Giraffe.

Life Education is a preventative approach. We teach children about the wonder of life, themselves, and other people, with the aim of showing them how to reach their full potential. It is a totally positive approach. Life Education does not necessarily work on changing children's behaviour, it works on changing desires. This enables the child to make decisions about any negative influences that might impede the development of their fullest potential.
