Where There's a Will...There's a Way
If you want to make a meaningful gift to the Life Education Trust - Auckland Central, there is an easy way to do it... even if you don't feel you can write out a cheque for the amount you'd like to give right this minute.
Your will needs to be thought about, discussed, planned, and arranged carefully. That way, you can be sure that your money will be doing the work that you want done, such as teaching kids that they are special and unique. Money you have worked hard to accumulate should be used to support the things you care about after you are gone. Too many people have an out-of-date will. Or, worse, they have no will at all.
If you have already made a will, you can make changes by adding a codicil - a written provision to your will. Codicils need to be witnessed, signed and dated in exactly the same way as a will. Your solicitor will be able to advise you.
You may use the following form to advise your lawyer of your intentions:
I GIVE AND BEQUEATH free of all duties to The Life Education Trust, Auckland Central Inc.
*(a) one ................... part of the residue of my estate.
*(b) the whole of the residue of my estate.
*(c) the sum of $...................
for the general purposes of the Trust and I declare that the receipt of the Chairman or other officer of the Trust shall be a full and sufficient discharge for my trustees in respect of such payment.
* Delete which is not applicable.
